We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Power Electronics to join our product design team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing cutting-edge power converter technology, focusing on mechanical design that balances cost-effectiveness with high manufacturability. You'll work closely with electrical engineering colleagues, bringing expertise in high-voltage assemblies, electrical insulation, and thermal management systems. Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer, Power Electronics, New Product

  • Detailed mechanical design of cost effective, highly manufacturable power converter
  • Design core thermal interfaces, electrical insulators, cooling systems, magnetics assemblies
  • Design overall product assembly concept for power-conversion circuitry
  • Partner with electrical engineering colleagues to create robust products
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer, Power Electronics, New Product

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus in power electronics
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering with focus in power conversion or energy storage products
  • Experience in high-voltage (up to 2000VDC, and 480VAC) design
  • Proven track record with hands-on design, prototyping, and launch experience in medium-to-high volume production
  • Ability to perform detailed schematic capture in Altium or related CAD software
  • Ability to supervise and perform detailed layout of high-power electronics PCBs
