Our long-term vision is to create humanity's industrial base on Mars, starting with delivering customer payloads to orbit using our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, Terran R.
As a Fairing Responsible Engineer II, you will be part of the Structures team, responsible for the design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing of our launch vehicle integrated structures and flight mechanisms. You will have hardware ownership for the full product lifecycle and the opportunity to validate your hardware through testing at our factory of the future in Long Beach, CA.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will work closely with our additive, design, test, and loads & dynamics teams to deliver projects on time and budget. On a weekly basis, you'll be designing flight or ground components using NX/TeamCenter, performing analysis using Nastran, ANSYS and/or hand calculations, creating and releasing drawings, and supporting fabrication of your components.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, thrives in ambiguity, and can lead their own projects to completion. Experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment and the ability to collaborate effectively with other key groups is highly valued.
