Description For Senior Propulsion Integration Engineer

As a Senior Propulsion Integration Engineer at Relativity Space, you will play a crucial role in developing Aeon-R hardware and manufacturing processes for the Terran-R vehicle. This position requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative. You will be responsible for owning and developing processes for the builds of major Aeon-R subassemblies and engine integration, with a focus on manufacturability.

Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Serving as the main point-of-contact between manufacturing and design teams
  2. Developing and optimizing Aeon-R hardware and packaging
  3. Ensuring as-built hardware meets all aspects of the intended design
  4. Project managing a wide variety of hardware in different stages of their manufacturing lifecycle
  5. Developing processes and procedures for post-processing of 3D printed parts
  6. Recommending design adaptations to improve reliability and throughput
  7. Working through challenging issues unique to 3D printed and machined components

This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration between design, manufacturing, and test teams. You will be part of a team that has recently achieved significant milestones, including the MDC of the first Aeon-R engine, completing thousands of hours of PBF printing, building and testing over 50 valves of 26 different iterations, and implementing large-scale process improvements.

At Relativity Space, you'll be contributing to audacious goals: building the next great commercial launch company and becoming America's leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. These efforts support the long-term vision of creating humanity's industrial base on Mars, expanding the possibilities of human experience.

Join us in shaping the future of aerospace technology and additive manufacturing alongside a community of passionate, creative individuals. This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to transform a visionary concept into reality.
