Relativity Space is revolutionizing the aerospace industry by combining 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and autonomous robotics to pioneer the factory of the future. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Avionics and Integrated Software team, you'll be instrumental in developing Data Acquisition and Control Systems (DACS) for their groundbreaking 3D printed rockets.
The role focuses on building and maintaining critical systems that operate their unique 3D printed engines in test facilities and manage vehicle systems on the launch pad. You'll be responsible for developing automation frameworks, managing software configuration and deployment, and creating tools for efficient data acquisition and test execution.
Key responsibilities include developing automation frameworks, managing CI/CD systems, evaluating software tools, and ensuring efficient test operations. You'll work with cross-functional teams to identify priorities and translate requirements into minimum viable products for launch operations.
The ideal candidate has experience with real-time data acquisition systems, distributed systems, and full-stack development. Required skills include 4+ years of industry experience with a relevant degree, proficiency in C#/.NET, SQL, Python, and JavaScript, and experience with database systems at scale.
Relativity Space is working on some of the most challenging problems in aerospace, aiming to disrupt 60 years of industry standards by building the first entirely 3D printed rocket to Mars. Their long-term vision extends to upgrading humanity's industrial base both on Earth and Mars.
This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, contribute to space exploration, and be part of a team that's literally building the future of humanity in space. The position includes relocation assistance and involves about 25% travel to Stennis, MS for LA-based candidates.
