Description For Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer

Reliable Robotics is at the forefront of revolutionizing aviation safety through innovative automated systems. We're developing cutting-edge technology that will transform how goods - and eventually people - move through the air. Our mission-driven team combines expertise from aerospace, robotics, and self-driving vehicles to create safer and more efficient air transportation solutions.

As a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing sophisticated aircraft control systems that will enable the integration of uncrewed aircraft into the National Airspace System. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on safety-critical systems that directly impact the future of automated flight.

The position requires a strong technical foundation with at least 2 years of professional experience in control systems development. You'll be working with C/C++ and Python to implement GNC algorithms, conduct simulations, and analyze flight test data. The role combines theoretical expertise with practical application, requiring both technical proficiency and excellent communication skills.

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $135,500 to $225,000, along with valuable benefits including stock options, medical insurance, and 401k contributions. Based in Mountain View, California, you'll be part of a collaborative team working in a casual environment that values innovation and technical excellence.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about aviation and automation to contribute to groundbreaking technology that will enhance aviation safety and efficiency. The role requires occasional travel (10%) and compliance with U.S. export control laws, reflecting the significant nature of our work in the aerospace industry.
