Description For Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Reliable Robotics is at the forefront of revolutionizing aviation safety through automated systems. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll join a mission-driven team developing transformative aviation technology that will enhance safety and convenience in air transportation. The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic process development, requiring expertise in mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.

You'll be integral to the Production team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, where you'll shape the manufacturing and integration processes that will define the company's operational foundation. The position demands a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking, as you'll be responsible for everything from hands-on assembly and testing to process development and quality assurance.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a safety-critical environment, taking automated aviation systems from prototype to production. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical/avionics, mechanical, and radar design teams, to accelerate product development while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key aspects of the role include conducting design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) reviews, developing scalable processes, and ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 5 years of experience, with hands-on expertise in troubleshooting complex systems.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $132,000 to $220,000, complemented by stock options, medical benefits, and a 401k contribution. Based in Mountain View, California, this role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to the future of automated aviation. The position requires some travel (10%) and compliance with U.S. export control regulations.

Join a team of passionate engineers who are committed to continuous improvement and solving challenging problems in aviation technology. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where learning is constant and the impact of your work is directly visible in advancing aviation safety and efficiency.
