As a Sr. Mechanical Test Engineer, you'll be crucial to our mechanical engineering team, combining mechanical, electrical, and software engineering expertise. This role offers a unique opportunity to build our testing operations from the ground up. You'll be responsible for testing development hardware, identifying issues, and contributing to redesigns. You'll also develop automated acceptance test stands and integrate sophisticated measurement systems on testbed aircraft.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $162,000 to $220,000 annually, plus stock options and benefits. Responsibilities For Sr. Mechanical Test Engineer

  • Lead the development of mechanical test stands for functional and environmental qualification testing
  • Specify, source, and integrate required instrumentation
  • Automate the repetitive aspects of the test stands
  • Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Perform data analysis and data reviews
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to improve the flight hardware

Requirements For Sr. Mechanical Test Engineer

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • 8+ years experience working in hardware test
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Proven track record of qualifying hardware in a highly regulated industry
  • Familiarity with environmental qualification testing standards (MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160, or similar)
  • Must be willing to travel 30% of the time
  • Must comply with U.S. export control laws
