Description For Staff Engineer, DevOps

Reltio is seeking a Staff Engineer, DevOps to join their TechOps team. This role is crucial in delivering best-in-class DevOps capabilities and enhancing developer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for scaling cloud-based services, refining internal platforms, and focusing on automation and continuous delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform and Helm Charts
  • Collaborating with various teams to define platform requirements and streamline software delivery processes
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing DevOps tools and platforms
  • Designing zero downtime maintenance strategies for Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources
  • Mentoring junior platform engineers and acting as a force multiplier for development teams
  • Integrating security controls and best practices into DevOps processes

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies, declarative management tools, and cloud platforms
  • Experience with scripting languages and CI/CD tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

  • Design and Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define platform requirements, scope, and priorities
  • Streamline the software delivery process and ensure high-quality releases
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and cost of DevOps tools and platforms
  • Design zero downtime maintenance strategies for Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources
  • Evaluate industry trends and recommend new tools and best practices
  • Mentor junior platform engineers
  • Act as a force multiplier to engineers and development teams
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate security controls
  • Document technical designs, procedures, and configurations
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

Requirements For Staff Engineer, DevOps

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools
  • Proficiency with declarative management tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience in scripting and programming languages such as Python or Bash
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in DevOps methodologies
