Database Engineer

Rimes, a leading provider of enterprise data management solutions for the global investment community, is seeking a Database Engineer to join their Core Engineering Group. This role is at the heart of the corporation, ensuring that Rimes' technology is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable, and secure. The successful candidate will work within the Infrastructure Team, supporting database technologies in both production and development environments, on-premise and in Azure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing SQL backups and replication jobs
• Monitoring capacity and performance across the SQL estate
• Collaborating with software engineering teams on architecture and performance
• Supporting Microsoft BI environment
• Enhancing cloud and data center infrastructure
• Supporting the Rimes Data lake

The ideal candidate should have:

• 3-5 years of experience in Database Administration
• Experience in supporting Microsoft Database technology platforms
• Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and Cloud platforms
• Experience with auto deployment, scaling, and resilience
• Expertise in database monitoring and management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in resilience strategies and disaster recovery

Additional desirable skills include experience with NoSQL databases, Windows Server, Linux, and familiarity with Single Sign On solutions, particularly Azure AD.
