Lab Support Engineer, Ring Software/Firmware

Ring, an Amazon company, is seeking a Lab Support Engineer to join their Software/Firmware development organization in Chennai, India. This role is crucial for maintaining and expanding Ring's device testing laboratories that support core products including doorbell cameras, security cameras, and other innovative devices.

The position requires a detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for the comprehensive management of Ring's device labs, including hardware and software infrastructure. You'll work directly with development teams, QA engineers, test automation engineers, and various stakeholders to improve software development processes and maintain operational excellence.

As a Lab Support Engineer, you'll handle critical responsibilities such as maintaining test equipment inventory, troubleshooting complex system issues, managing lab tickets, and ensuring smooth operation of prototype device testing. The role involves working with multiple operating systems including Linux, Android, iOS, and FireOS, making it perfect for someone with broad technical interests and strong problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate should have at least one year of software development or technical support experience, with a passion for quality improvement and operational efficiency.
