Director, Software Engineering - Custody

Ripple is seeking a results-oriented, hands-on engineering leader to manage and guide teams building platforms that enable on-chain tokenization, including Stablecoins. This Director of Software Engineering role for the Custody team requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical and business leadership to define long-term strategy
• Owning and delivering roadmaps for multiple programs
• Mentoring and guiding the professional and technical development of the team
• Offering hands-on technical leadership
• Driving engineering best practices
• Collaborating with stakeholders across Ripple and the crypto community
• Establishing team objectives aligned with business goals
• Translating technical concepts for various audiences
• Scaling the team by attracting and mentoring great leaders and engineers

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of hands-on software development leadership experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems
• Background in open source software development
• Expertise in Agile development, robust software design, scalability, and security
• A collaborative mindset and passion for sharing knowledge
• BS in Computer Science or similar field

Ripple offers a competitive salary range of $247,043 - $308,804 USD for this position in California, along with equity and additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
