Staff Data Engineer

Ripple is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join their RippleX team, which supports and contributes to the XRP Ledger. The role involves leading the design and implementation of scalable data ingestion systems for analytics, ML/AI solutions, and customer-facing data-centric features. Key responsibilities include analyzing complex data flows, designing data models, implementing orchestration layers for data transformations, developing observability systems, and driving research on new software tools. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Python and SQL, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with distributed computing technologies. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data ingestion systems
• Analyze complex data flows and design optimal data models
• Lead implementation of orchestration layers for data transformations
• Develop observability systems and exception handling processes
• Research and evaluate new software tools for database maintenance
• Coach other engineers on best practices

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Python and 6+ years in SQL
• 8-10 years of experience in data engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Databricks platform (preferred)
• Knowledge of AWS, DBX, or related technologies
• Experience with decentralized technologies and blockchain data indexing (preferred)
