Riptide Technology has multiple great opportunities for a Senior Systems Engineer to support our government customer based in Springfield, VA. This position will require U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
Responsibilities:
- Member of a team of diverse, multidisciplinary IT Engineers
- Provide SE knowledge, skills, abilities, standards and best practices
- Implement modern and Next Generation (NexGen) IT solutions
- Provide consulting services and escalated tiered support
- Mentor junior personnel
- Infrequent travel may be required (up to 26 days per year preferred but not required)
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering techniques
- 5+ years of experience in secure processing environments
- Experience with SDLC, requirements analysis, and advanced troubleshooting
- Meet minimum credential requirements for Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR one of the following certifications:
- Certified Analytical Professional (CAP)
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- CompTIA Security +ce
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching
- GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based OSs and enterprise-grade applications
- Experience with *nix-based OSs
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with SE products throughout SDLC
- Familiarity with enterprise networking and commercial cloud concepts
Security Clearance:
- U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance required
- CI Poly preferred, ability to obtain required
