Responsibilities For Security Operations Automation Engineer
- Build and maintain automation workflows to improve security operations efficiency
- Work with Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms
- Partner with Vulnerability Management, Detection Engineering, and SOC analysts
- Develop feedback loops to evaluate automation effectiveness
- Work with Threat Intelligence, Red Team, and Threat Hunting teams
- Create and maintain custom scripts and tooling for security incident response
- Document automation processes and provide training
Requirements For Security Operations Automation Engineer
- Proficiency with security automation platforms (Cortex XSOAR, Tines, Phantom)
- Experience in Python, Javascript, or other programming languages
- Background in designing and implementing automated workflows
- Understanding of security incident response and detection engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of SIEM, EDR and log management systems
