Description For Software Developer, Cloud Infra

Join a leading fintech company that's democratizing finance for all. Robinhood Markets was founded on a simple idea: that our financial markets should be accessible to all. With customers at the heart of our decisions, Robinhood and its subsidiaries and affiliates are lowering barriers and providing greater access to financial information. Together, we are building products and services that help create a financial system everyone can participate in.

The Cloud Infrastructure (CI) team's mission is to manage the company's cloud infrastructure, establish standards for micro-services, and provide high-level abstractions for both application and platform teams. CI also builds services to manage user access for the company's engineering systems. This team is critical as it plays a significant role in the operation and security of the company.

The CI team plays a vital role in the success of Robinhood, as every application and platform within the company interfaces with our team. The primary objective of the CI team is to establish Robinhood for long-term security, reliability, productivity, and scalability by redefining and managing our technology stack. This approach ensures that our products are scalable, secure, reliable, and support the company's international and expansion initiatives.

As a Software Developer in the Cloud Infra team, you'll:

  • Design large scale systems, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability.
  • Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the infrastructure and systems.
  • Lead organization-wide collaboration for the team.
  • Contribute to open source projects.

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience and knowledge on building large scale distributed systems & infrastructure.
  • Experience with AWS or relevant cloud technologies.
  • Bonus Points: Open source contributions within Kubernetes.

Robinhood embraces a diversity of backgrounds and experiences and provides equal opportunity for all applicants and employees. We are dedicated to building a company that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work (and work environment) will be for everyone.
