Staff Cloud Security Engineer

Robinhood Markets is seeking a Staff Cloud Security Engineer to join their Cloud Security team. This role is crucial in protecting Robinhood's AWS cloud infrastructure and providing engineers with foundational security capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded technologist with deep expertise in cloud security and building security controls on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and operate solutions that protect foundational infrastructure
• Make it easier for Robinhood developers to protect their applications
• Contribute to the company's least privilege objective
• Manage network traffic and reduce the level of access that employees have or could obtain through escalation

Required Skills and Experience:

• Expertise in securing enterprise applications on AWS
• Proficiency with Golang (preferred) or Python
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Strong command of industry best practices like the AWS Well-Architected framework and CIS Benchmarks
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, SCPs, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall)
• Ability to build software, services, and automation that provide safe defaults, paved roads, and intuitive capabilities to other developers
