The Assistant Front End Manager position at Safeway is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and efficient front-end operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages and schedules Front End Clerks, Courtesy Clerks, Customer Service Clerks, and other front-end staff
- Oversees daily cash handling, balancing, and reconciliation
- Champions customer service programs to exceed division goals
- Handles customer relations and complaint resolution
- Supervises front-end activities including monitoring traffic, implementing service programs, and maintaining cleanliness
- Accountable for cash flow controls and safe transactions
- Assists with hiring, training, and supervising front-end staff
- Responsible for achieving budget goals for labor and expenses
Requirements:
- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
