Position Purpose: The Front End Manager at Safeway ensures all customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate check out service by implementing the spirit of Legendary Service. This role involves managing and scheduling shifts for Checkers, Courtesy Clerks, Office/Bookkeepers, and Customer Service Counter staff while overseeing daily cash office operations and focusing on exceptional customer service.
The position requires strong leadership abilities to supervise front-end operations, maintain service standards, and handle customer relations professionally. Key responsibilities include cash flow management, training and development of staff, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and implementing customer service programs to exceed division goals.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate ability to handle pressure situations, and maintain composure while managing multiple priorities. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
