Responsibilities For GM/HBC Manager
- Direct and control operations of the Drug/General Merchandise Department
- Supervise and train personnel to achieve sales and profit objectives
- Implement Company and Division operating and merchandising policies
- Order general merchandise product and maintain inventory levels
- Schedule department associates and ensure adequate coverage
- Monitor daily log sheet, purchase report, sales and labor
- Resolve customer complaints and maintain customer service standards
- Ensure compliance with product quality and safety standards
Requirements For GM/HBC Manager
- Retail background with prior management experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices
- Knowledge of basic math and accounting
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
