AI Scientist

Salesforce is seeking a top-notch AI Scientist to join the Agentforce org. The role involves building, optimizing, and innovating the Agentforce planner system, utilizing frontier foundational models for real-world use cases. Key responsibilities include researching, designing, and prototyping AI solutions, collaborating with engineering and product teams, and staying current with the latest AI literature, tools, and techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business problems into applied science problems
• Research, prototype, and build AI demonstrations
• Design and build AI systems to meet accuracy and performance targets
• Productize AI innovations with engineering teams
• Educate teams about AI science
• Mentor and collaborate with team members
• Share technical innovations across the company
• Contribute to conferences and open-source tools

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in a quantitative discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Expertise in classical machine learning, deep learning, and large language models (LLMs)
• Proficiency in Python scientific stack and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Strong communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in building agent systems and shipping to production
• Ph.D. with 1+ years of relevant experience
• Deep experience in reinforcement learning, causal inference, and information retrieval
• Open-source contributions and publications in top AI conferences
