Description For Associate Manager, Workplace Services MEP Engineering

Salesforce is seeking an Associate Manager for Workplace Services MEP Engineering to join their Real Estate & Facility Management team. This role, based in Salesforce Tower San Francisco, is crucial for maintaining and optimizing building systems across West Coast locations. The position offers a competitive salary range of $111,200 - $152,900 and requires hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary technical expert for MEP systems in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Irvine offices. They will be responsible for conducting regular system inspections, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring optimal performance of critical building infrastructure. The role combines technical expertise with project management skills, requiring someone who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term facility planning.

Key responsibilities include maintaining building systems, managing high-value assets, supporting events, and implementing safety protocols. The position also involves contributing to Salesforce's sustainability initiatives through energy consumption monitoring and system optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including Events, Health and Safety, and Project Design & Delivery.

Responsibilities For Associate Manager, Workplace Services MEP Engineering

  • Serve as primary point of contact for MEP maintenance in West Coast office locations
  • Function as subject matter expert in mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Conduct weekly critical asset walkthroughs
  • Maintain relationships with service vendors
  • Coordinate tenant BMS access and lighting controls programming
  • Maintain records of repairs and maintenance using CMMS
  • Prepare and submit quarterly energy consumption data
  • Operate lighting control systems for special events
  • Maintain and implement safety protocols
  • Monitor Indoor Air Quality sensors

Requirements For Associate Manager, Workplace Services MEP Engineering

  • Enrollment in or completion of technical training related to plumbing, HVAC, or electrical discipline
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and national regulations related to MEP systems
  • Minimum 4 years experience working with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or lighting controls systems
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications
  • Proficiency with G-Suite (Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience self-managing time and projects
  • Comfortable using ladders and skilled in using small handheld power tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the region
