Description For DevOps Engineer - Gov Cloud

Salesforce is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join their team working on infrastructure at scale for government cloud solutions. This role requires a U.S. citizen who can obtain a Moderate Public Trust position clearance. The position focuses on solving infrastructure deployment issues with software, delivering high-velocity and high-quality infrastructure in public cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be strong in solving Infrastructure related problems with code, with expertise in Kubernetes deployments at scale.

The role involves leading key projects in the Salesforce platform's design, development, and support, specifically tailored for government customers. You'll work on automated CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot production issues, and transform manual processes into automated solutions. This position offers exposure to large-scale production infrastructure within 3rd party cloud providers and the opportunity to work with innovative developers and architects.

Key technical requirements include extensive experience with container orchestration, configuration management, AWS, Linux systems, and security implementations.   • Lead key projects in design, development, and post-release support of the Salesforce platform
  • Collaborate with internal teams for efficient iterations of automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and reproduce issues reported in Production environments

Requirements For DevOps Engineer - Gov Cloud

  • 3+ years deploying distributed apps with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE)
  • 3+ years development experience in config management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
  • 4+ years demonstrated ability working within and building on AWS
  • 4+ years Linux system engineering experience
  • 2+ years developing infrastructure and application security for Highly Sensitive Customer Data & Environments
  • 3+ years experience deploying with CI orchestration service (Jenkins, Spinnaker)
  • 2+ years working experience scripting/programming language (Shell, Python, Golang, Ruby)
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols and IAAS components
  • Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools
