Description For Devops Engineer - LMTS

Salesforce is seeking a DevOps Engineer (LMTS) to join their Tech and Product team. This role focuses on building and managing a multi-substrate kubernetes and microservices platform powering Core CRM and various Salesforce applications. The platform is designed to facilitate rapid microservice development and deployment.

The position involves managing large-scale distributed systems, with a focus on maintaining high availability for kubernetes clusters, load balancers, and service mesh implementations. You'll be part of a team that handles critical infrastructure, troubleshoots complex production issues, and drives automation initiatives using modern technologies like Python, Golang, Terraform, and Spinnaker.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Linux systems administration, cloud environments, and various DevOps tools. Knowledge of monitoring solutions and networking protocols is essential. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while collaborating with innovative teams across Salesforce.

Responsibilities For Devops Engineer - LMTS

  • Manage high availability of large fleet of clusters running Kubernetes and related technologies
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Contribute code to drive improvement
  • Drive automation efforts using Python/Golang/Terraform/Spinnaker/Puppet/Jenkins
  • Implement monitoring and metrics
  • Implement self-healing mechanisms
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams across Salesforce
  • Evaluate new technologies as needed

  • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, grafana, Zabbix
