Lead DevOps Engineer

Salesforce is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join their Network Software team. This role focuses on automating and operating critically important, web-scale distributed systems in the public cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for the automation and operation of Content Delivery Network (CDN) services, ensuring secure and performant delivery of Salesforce applications to enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as a Service Owner and Technical Leader for DevOps, focusing on automation and operations of Content Delivery Services
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on deployment, operations, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Providing guidance on long-range platform requirements and operational guidelines
• Owning and improving standard processes for provisioning, scaling, configuration management, and monitoring
• Analyzing customer usage to drive continuous improvement
• Participating in on-call rotation to address sophisticated problems in real-time
• Mentoring team members and championing a culture of diversity and inclusion

Required skills:

• 6+ years of DevOps experience, with 1+ year as a Technical Lead
• Related technical degree
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Golang
• Experience with containers, orchestration services, and cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of network technologies and configuration management
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
