Description For Lead Solution Engineer

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Solution Engineer to join their Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud team. This role combines executive-level presence with full-stack technical skills, focusing on delivering customer success through sophisticated data architectures. The position involves working with customers ranging from operational marketing and IT teams to C-Level executives, acting as a trusted advisor in delivering memorable customer experiences.

The role requires deep subject matter expertise in Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud, Salesforce's flagship innovation and hyperscale data platform. You'll be part of the INDIA Sales team, crafting innovative solutions that solve key business challenges while working with modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake, GBQ, and Databricks, as well as data analytics tools like Tableau.

As a Solution Engineer, you'll lead client discovery sessions, deliver technical presentations, and demonstrate solutions that drive business value. The position demands a unique combination of technical expertise and business acumen, with responsibilities including sales team collaboration, workshop facilitation, and solution architecture design.

The ideal candidate brings 8-10+ years of solution engineering experience, with at least 5 years in digital marketing, marketing automation, or customer data platforms. You should be comfortable with full-stack technical work, have experience with cloud data platforms, and possess strong communication skills to engage with executive-level stakeholders.

Requirements For Lead Solution Engineer

  • 8-10+ years experience in Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales or Solutions Consulting
  • 5+ years working in Digital Marketing, Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms and AI
  • Full-stack technical qualifications in CRM, Data Architecture, AI/ML
  • Experience integrating complex data architectures
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms and data analytics tools
  • Skilled at guiding impactful discovery conversations
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Experience driving customer success in large, complex selling organizations
  • Persuasive verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
