This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on revolutionizing how customers collaborate and work. The position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and consultative skills to drive complex, multi-stakeholder deals across industries.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and demonstrating solutions that showcase Slack's value proposition, working closely with Account Executives to drive sales cycles, and serving as a technical authority throughout the customer journey. They will need to effectively communicate with executives and technical leaders, understanding and addressing their business challenges while ensuring Slack's solutions align with their objectives.

Key aspects of the role include conducting technical discovery sessions, delivering impactful presentations, designing custom solutions, and maintaining deep knowledge of both Slack's security features and the competitive landscape. The position requires strong communication skills in multiple languages (Portuguese and English required, Spanish a plus) and the ability to work effectively in a rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities For Lead Solution Engineer - Slack

  • Partner with Account Executives to drive complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles
  • Drive the discovery process to uncover customer pains and align business objectives
  • Prepare and deliver high impact presentations and demonstrations
  • Partner with customers to design Slack based solutions
  • Ensure customers understand Slack's security program
  • Serve as authority on competition products and strategy
  • Work with Salesforce teams to position Slack in multi-cloud sale strategies
  • Guide customers through Slack evaluation process
  • Contribute to LatAm team success
  • Act as liaison between Product, Marketing and Sales

Requirements For Lead Solution Engineer - Slack

  • 6+ years of sales engineering or solution consulting experience in SaaS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative approach to solving customer business challenges
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS ecosystem
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving product and market
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to travel to customers for meetings
  • Fluent in Portuguese
  • Business proficiency in English
  • Spanish fluency is a plus
