Responsibilities For Linux DevOps - Software Engineering LMTS

  • Build scalable, elastic services for private Salesforce data centers and public clouds
  • Design high-quality systems to improve platform security, reliability, availability, and scalability
  • Design, build, configure, test, update, document, implement scripts, and automate operational support
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, and release teams
  • Build efficient components/algorithms/services for high volume requests
  • Create and test backup and recovery procedures
  • Participate in Code Reviews and mentor team members
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Lead development of team/organization long range plans and roadmaps

  • BS degree and over 9 years of experience or Master's with 7+ years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages (Bash, Go, Ruby, Python)
  • Broad knowledge of Linux Operating Systems internals and Virtualization platforms
  • Experience in automating Infrastructure and administration tasks
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Configuration Management
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with large, highly available and high performance systems
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Available for after hours on-call support
