Responsibilities For Performance Engineering - SMTS/LMTS

  • Work closely with management, product owners, developers, and quality engineers to understand product requirements
  • Design and implement scalability, stability, stress, reliability, availability, and longevity simulations
  • Encourage sound design principles for optimal code and non-intrusive instrumentation
  • Champion the definition of appropriate SLIs/SLOs for service monitoring
  • Mentor engineers in the organization
  • Influence architecture by offering solutions for performance and scale challenges

Requirements For Performance Engineering - SMTS/LMTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience
  • Strong knowledge of system architectures, operating systems, databases, and middleware components
  • Ability to analyze complex code for performance and scalability optimization
  • Performance Engineering experience with proven track record
  • Strong knowledge of database performance and SQL tuning
  • Experience with load generation/measurement software
  • Working knowledge of database tuning and administration
  • Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
  • BS, MS in Computer Science or equivalent
