Principal, Data Cloud Solution Engineer

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Data Cloud Solution Engineer to join their innovative Data Cloud team, a startup initiative within Salesforce focused on next-generation technology. This role combines executive-level presence with full-stack technical expertise to deliver value through Data + AI + CRM + Trust solutions. The position is based in Sydney and involves working with complex customer data architectures.

As a Solution Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of driving customer success through sophisticated data solutions. You'll work closely with Account Executives to develop and implement industry-specific use cases, conduct technical evaluations, and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives. The role requires deep technical knowledge of data platforms, analytics tools, and AI technologies, while also demanding strong business acumen to translate technical capabilities into tangible business outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of technical expertise in modern cloud data platforms (such as Snowflake, Databricks, Big Query), analytics tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI), and AI technologies (Python, R, Jupyter Notebooks). You'll be responsible for developing scalable technical assets, collaborating with product teams on roadmap development, and advocating for customer needs through Voice of the Customer feedback.
