Salesforce is seeking a Principal Solution Engineer for their Outsourced Service Provider (OSP) Program in the Public Sector division. This strategic role combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovative solutions for top organizations.
The position sits within the OSP Program, a strategic initiative designed to leverage the Salesforce platform to empower OSP Customers in delivering outsourced services at scale. As a Principal Solution Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between complex business challenges and technological solutions, working directly with C-level clients to drive consensus on multi-product technology solutions.
Your responsibilities will span business development, operations, and IT strategies, requiring you to act as a trusted advisor who can translate ambiguous business problems into practical, innovative solutions. You'll be instrumental in demonstrating how connected experiences come to life with Salesforce Solutions through software demos and rapid prototyping.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of professional experience, strong technical knowledge of relational databases and web technologies, and excellent communication skills. You'll need to be comfortable working in varied political environments and be willing to travel as needed. A background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS is required, while Salesforce Certifications and previous solution engineering experience in CRM are highly valued.
This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home while maintaining regular in-office presence three days per week, ensuring a balance between collaborative work and independent productivity. Responsibilities For Principal Solution Engineer (OSP) - Public Sector
- Develop thoughtful solutions through collaboration with customers, Products team, and Professional Services
- Solicit business requirements and develop technical sales strategy
- Configure and demonstrate solutions that address customer requirements
- Partner with clients and collaborate with internal team members and C-level contacts
- Deliver executive level software demonstrations
- Build and present customized solutions focused on Salesforce products
- Convey deep understanding of customer's architecture
- Orchestrate and lead cross-functional solutions guides
- Develop and deliver customer experience stories aided by Salesforce technologies
- Participate in product, sales, and procedural training and certifications
Requirements For Principal Solution Engineer (OSP) - Public Sector
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology
- Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems
- Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region
- B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent relevant experience
