Responsibilities For Production Support Engineer MTS / SMTS - Customer Centric Engineering

  • Using .NET/Java, JavaScript, Database, Web API and UI skills to solve critical customer escalations
  • Troubleshooting and finding bugs using development tools and systems
  • Identifying root causes, proposing test cases and code changes
  • Providing information to customer facing teams
  • Mentoring internal support teams on technical issues
  • Building relationships across Customer Service, Development, and Site Reliability teams
  • Championing Supportability and Debug ability initiatives
  • Working on infrastructure services (logging, monitoring and alerting)
  • Analyzing customer platform usage and driving improvements
  • Delivering presentations on metrics, trends and success stories

Requirements For Production Support Engineer MTS / SMTS - Customer Centric Engineering

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of software development experience
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth experience with Linux, networking, server, and cloud architectures
  • Strong background in open source technology
  • Understanding of DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP
  • Knowledge of cloud security and best-practices
  • Experience with Object Oriented Development (C#, Java)
  • Understanding of RDBMS and SQL performance tuning
  • Experience with IDE: Eclipse or IntelliJ or VSCode
  • Experience with Splunk for log analysis
  • Experience working with AWS

  • Understanding of W3C standards and cross-browser compatibility
