Description For Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

Salesforce is seeking a Relationship Manager for their Private Equity Practice. This role involves supporting the growth of strategic Private Equity partnerships, bringing unique perspectives, analytical rigor, and industry knowledge to drive growth. You'll deepen PE partnerships, accelerate value creation, and scale the Private Equity Practice team. Responsibilities include developing value creation opportunities, leading analysis, contributing to customer-facing engagements, and supporting sales cycles. You'll work with product specialists, solution engineers, and industry experts to effectively sell to PE-owned companies. The role also involves coaching junior team members and contributing to strategic projects. Responsibilities For Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

  • Support senior team in maintaining relationships with strategic Private Equity Partners
  • Act as an advocate for the partnership within the Private Equity firm and at Salesforce
  • Understand Salesforce product suite and conceptualize optimal solutions
  • Contribute to Private Equity due diligence processes
  • Work with portfolio companies to rethink business and operating model opportunities
  • Collaborate with alliances and sales teams
  • Support execution of go-to-market plans for each Private Equity partner
  • Act as connective tissue between account teams and Private Equity Practice
  • Articulate value of Salesforce across B2B and B2C Private Equity owned portfolio companies
  • Support sales account managers to drive value creation and grow pipeline
  • Contribute to internal and external portfolio performance reviews
  • Own strategic projects for Private Equity Practice growth
  • Coach and guide Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates

Requirements For Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

  • 5-7 years of experience in private equity/credit, venture capital, premier consulting, investment bank, M&A, strategy, enterprise software, or digital transformation
  • Experience influencing decisions in corporate transactions
  • Experience working internationally
  • Exposure to working at the C-level
  • Exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills
  • High tolerance for ambiguity
  • Strong work ethic and personal drive
  • Superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Willingness to travel >30% of the time
