The Responsible AI Data Science Engineer role at Salesforce is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the development of ethical and unbiased AI systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Salesforce AI Research Science team and distributed Data Science and Engineering teams to assess, implement, and improve machine learning techniques with a focus on fairness, accountability, transparency, and explainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Measuring and remediating potential bias in data and models
  • Building datasets for testing generative and predictive models
  • Driving engineering investments in responsible AI
  • Creating advanced analytics tools using SQL and Python
  • Developing quantitative metrics for structured datasets
  • Conducting end-to-end experiments and analyses
  • Monitoring and analyzing logs data for harms and threats
  • Contributing to libraries and tools for testing and mitigating content safety issues and algorithmic bias
  • Collaborating with industry leaders on improving responsible AI development

The role requires a strong background in machine learning, with an MS in a quantitative discipline and 8+ years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python, SQL, and common machine learning frameworks, with experience in designing microservices and working with technologies like Kubernetes and RESTful APIs.
