Description For Responsible AI Data Scientist

Salesforce's Office of Ethical and Humane Use is seeking an experienced ML data scientist focused on responsible AI. The role involves collaborating with Einstein product and engineering teams, AI Frontier, and Salesforce AI Research teams to ensure foundation and predictive models align with OEHU's guidelines and policies.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in assessing various machine learning techniques, providing technical and scientific leadership, and building tools for fair, accountable, transparent, and explainable AI. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with AI Research Science and other teams to measure and mitigate potential bias in data and models
  • Building datasets for testing generative and predictive models
  • Driving engineering investments in responsible AI to improve model fairness and safety
  • Developing quantitative metrics for structured datasets
  • Conducting end-to-end experiments and analyses
  • Assisting in data curation for safety detectors
  • Validating synthetic data generation and labeling processes
  • Collaborating with industry leaders on improving responsible AI development

Requirements include:

  • MS in a quantitative discipline with 8+ years of professional experience
  • Expertise in machine learning, including standard approaches and frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Unix/Linux tools
  • Strong understanding of fairness evaluation in AI
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
