Description For Security Threat Detection Engineer, PMTS

Join Salesforce's Security team in making people's working lives more secure. As a Security Threat Detection Engineer, you'll be part of the Slack Security Customer Protection team, focusing on detecting and preventing malicious activities on the platform. Responsibilities For Security Threat Detection Engineer, PMTS

  • Understand current data pipelines and datasets to develop innovative solutions for analyzing and identifying outliers and patterns
  • Organize and query datasets to support detection engineering projects
  • Develop and roll out innovative signals across customer workspaces to identify anomalous behavior
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams on security-specific in-product feature development
  • Develop and maintain internal tools and solutions for detection engineering efforts

Requirements For Security Threat Detection Engineer, PMTS

Python
Go
  • Strong experience in Information Security centric roles
  • Ability to envision Security Incident scenarios and develop detections
  • Experience querying large amounts of data to investigate anomalous activity
  • Experience with Threat Actor Tactics, Techniques & Procedures (TTPs)
  • Background in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), Threat Detection and/or Threat Hunting
  • Expertise in Python or Go programming languages
  • Ability to write efficient SQL queries
