Description For Senior Director, Technical Program Management: Cloud Economics and Capacity Management

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director of Technical Program Management to lead their Cloud Economics and Capacity Management portfolio. This key leadership role involves managing a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and driving critical multi-year programs for data center operations supporting Salesforce Core Products, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, overseeing the building, maintenance, decommissioning, and migration of mission-critical data centers.

The role demands someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working with multiple products and tech stacks while leveraging the latest big data, monitoring, and observability standards. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and capable of rallying teams behind a vision, even in unclear situations.

As a Senior Director, you'll be responsible for leading teams to catalyze business outcomes, driving programs through multi-release plans using Agile methodologies, and maintaining strong partnerships with executive stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on Salesforce's infrastructure and operations, working with cutting-edge technology and leading cross-functional teams.

The role is based in either San Francisco, CA or Bellevue, WA, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 36 days in office per quarter. The compensation is competitive, ranging from $221,500 to $337,800 in California, reflecting the senior nature of the position and its critical importance to Salesforce's operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical leader who combines strong program management skills with deep technical knowledge, particularly in data center operations and SaaS environments. The role offers the chance to shape the future of Salesforce's infrastructure while leading and developing high-performing teams.
