This role involves ensuring service health, proactive monitoring, and problem-solving for customer-facing features. The GTMA platform is a new initiative that will transform how Salesforce customers manage, buy, and track their product usage across the Salesforce ecosystem. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in software development, monitoring, and service reliability, combined with leadership skills to mentor team members and collaborate with product engineering teams. Responsibilities For Senior Manager, Software Engineering
- Respond to Production Issues through triaging, reproducing, and implementing solutions
- Monitor Critical Service Signals and Improve Services' Availability
- Design improvements to existing features
- Work in partnership with the product engineering team
- Provide feedback as Customer Advocate and SME
- Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
- Present and review designs
- Develop test strategies and automation frameworks
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements For Senior Manager, Software Engineering
- Related technical degree required
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Deep knowledge of object oriented programming
- Proficiency with monitoring software and best practices
- High proficiency in high-level programming language and web framework
- Understanding of web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, Ajax)
- Understanding of Database technologies (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Experience in automated testing (Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium)
- Strong communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field (preferred)
- Experience with Agile software development (preferred)
- Experience building highly scalable web applications (preferred)
