Senior Manager - Software Engineering (Slack)

Slack Platform's mission is to make interactions between people and software delightful. The Platform Experience's Engineering team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their efforts in ensuring end-users have well-designed, easy-to-use experiences when interacting with the Slack Platform.

The role operates at an impressive scale, with over 1 billion minutes of active use during weekdays, 1.5 billion monthly messages, and 8 million simultaneously connected users. The platform supports 650k+ custom apps and integrations with 790k+ daily active developers.

As a Senior Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team that provides developers with tools to build clean, expressive user interfaces and creates user interfaces for end-users to discover the Platform and build streamlined workflows without coding experience. The team is fully remote across the US and Canada.

The position requires strong technical leadership, with a focus on API design and development, combined with excellent people management skills. You'll be instrumental in shaping the team's vision, collaborating with Product Management, and driving technical excellence while helping engineers develop their careers.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of engineering management experience, strong technical expertise in platform development, and the ability to make complex technical decisions while building and executing long-term roadmaps.
