Salesforce is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer specializing in Data Cloud to join their team in Tokyo. This role sits within the Solutions division, focusing on providing deep technical expertise in specific solution areas. The position involves working closely with Account Executives and Solution Engineers to deliver technical solutions, demonstrations, and support to customers.
As a Data Cloud Solution Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of Salesforce's Deeply Unified Platform concept, working with cutting-edge technologies including Data Cloud and Agentforce (autonomous AI agents). You'll have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert, collaborating with product development and marketing teams to improve product quality and market awareness in Japan.
The role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring strong communication skills in both Japanese and English. You'll be responsible for solution architecture, technical demonstrations, training delivery, and supporting marketing initiatives. Responsibilities For Senior Solution Engineer - Data Cloud
- Collaborate with related departments to propose appropriate solutions and architecture in the responsible area
- Create proposal documents considering latest product trends and limitations
- Conduct effective demonstrations to communicate product value to customers, partners, and internal departments
- Provide quick and accurate responses to technical questions
- Conduct seminars and share best practices with internal departments and partners
- Support marketing activities through presentations and demonstrations at seminars and events
- Create sales materials including tips, standard demonstrations, proposal templates, and reference architectures
- Work closely with sales teams, partner alliances, marketing, product development, and product marketing
Requirements For Senior Solution Engineer - Data Cloud
- Fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, conversation)
- Proficient in English (reading and writing)
- Experience in software product sales or implementation (presales engineer/architect/system engineer)
- Experience in consulting and solution design
- Presentation and demonstration experience for customers and events
- Ability to analyze customer business needs and challenges
- Strong curiosity and interest in learning new technologies
- Team communication skills
- Problem-solving ability with ownership
- Multi-tasking capabilities and speed in execution
- Knowledge of AI (G Certification or higher preferred)
