Senior Solution Engineer - Tableau

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for Tableau to serve the Japan region. This role is a pivotal position in the sales organization, acting as a solution expert for Tableau, the world-leading platform in data visualization and analytics. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a strong technical background in the software or IT industry, capable of becoming a trusted advisor to prospects and existing customers.

As a Senior Solution Engineer, you'll work closely with various departments, supporting customers in their journey to become more data-driven. Your responsibilities will include introducing Tableau solutions such as Tableau Cloud and Tableau Pulse, providing technical and solution advice on data utilization and analytics, and conducting pre-sales activities in collaboration with the direct sales team.

Key aspects of the role include:

1. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
2. Understanding and addressing customers' business challenges and data/analytics strategies
3. Delivering impactful presentations at major events like Salesforce World Tour Tokyo and Tableau Conference
4. Troubleshooting technical issues and creating content for demos and training workshops
5. Staying ahead of emerging technologies like AI and introducing them to customers

The ideal candidate will possess a mix of technical expertise and soft skills, including:

• Solid pre-sales or technical experience in the software/IT industry
• Broad technical knowledge with expertise in data visualization, analytics, BI, or related fields
• Strong communication and presentation skills
