We are looking for a Tableau pre-sales professional to cover the Japan region. As a Solution Expert for the world-leading data visualization and analytics platform, you will:
- Work with prospects, existing customers, and various internal departments
- Be a trusted advisor to customers
- Provide technical support to customers evaluating Tableau
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to promote adoption
- Give presentations at large-scale data and analytics conferences and events

Specific job responsibilities include:
- Becoming a trusted advisor to customers
- Understanding customers' business challenges and their data/analytics strategies

- Introducing solutions like Tableau Cloud and Tableau Pulse to customers
- Providing technical and solution advice on data utilization and analytics
- Conducting pre-sales activities in collaboration with internal direct sales teams
- Promoting Tableau adoption and achieving customer success through excellent customer relationships
- Presenting at events such as Salesforce World Tour Tokyo, Tableau Conference, and Big Data Summit
- Troubleshooting technical issues and creating content for demos and training workshops
- Staying up-to-date with new technologies like AI and introducing them to customers
Required qualifications:
- Solid pre-sales or technical expertise in the software or IT industry
- Broad technical knowledge with specialized knowledge in some areas of data visualization/analytics, BI, or data-related fields
- Experience building customer relationships and ability to work within the sales cycle
- Technical hands-on experience in relevant fields
- Experience building and implementing proofs of concept (PoC) and addressing functional and technical elements of RFI/RFP
- Passion for technology and ability to impact customers' businesses
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Sales acumen and ability to support sales teams
- Flexibility to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Team player mentality

- Complete Salesforce and Tableau's world-class boot camp program
- Obtain Tableau Desktop Specialist and Tableau Certified Data Analyst certifications
- Obtain Tableau Server Certified Associate certification
- Support the entire sales cycle for a set of accounts or regions
- Take responsibility for key initiative areas and support team development
- Attend Tableau's world-class marketing events and demonstrate best practices
- Collaborate with Account Executives on territory, account, and opportunity planning
- Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams
