Salesforce Mobile Publisher is an innovative program that enables customers to create branded mobile iOS and Android apps on the Salesforce platform using a no-code approach. This Staff Software Engineer role is part of the Operations team within the rapidly growing Mobile Publisher program. The position offers an opportunity to work with experienced mobile experts on premium mobile product offerings. The role involves implementing DevOps processes, tooling, instrumentation, administration, and monitoring to ensure reliable operations while scaling the Mobile Publisher program. The position requires expertise in cloud-scale distributed systems, creative problem-solving, and innovation at scale.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Mobile Publisher systems, ensuring smooth app submissions to app stores, and collaborating across teams to resolve customer issues. They will work with Jenkins, Git, Python, and various DevOps tools while maintaining security best practices. The role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, as it involves working with distributed teams and generating customer-facing documentation.

Responsibilities For Software Engineering, Mobile Publisher- SMTS

  • Develop deep understanding of Mobile Publisher systems, Salesforce mobile app products, and platform
  • Perform ongoing Publisher system operations including releases and administrative tasks
  • Perform system maintenance operations to ensure secure and reliable production pipelines
  • Collaborate with Support, Product, and Engineering groups for customer issues and onboarding
  • Help validate app submissions and assist to resolve issues
  • Ensure Service-Level Agreements (SLA) are monitored and met
  • Monitor and report Mobile Publisher Service health
  • Assist with testing and issue resolution
  • Generate customer facing documentation
  • Provide product feedback and work with Product Management

Requirements For Software Engineering, Mobile Publisher- SMTS

Python
  • Experience with Jenkins including administration and log management
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of Apple App Store and Google Play Store submission process
  • Understanding of security best practices and tools
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end)
  • Comfortable working on Apple Mac platform and macOS
  • Experience working on complex, multi-tiered systems
  • Automation skills for infrastructure provisioning and deployment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Technical degree required
