Salesforce is seeking Solution Engineers to join their dynamic Sales Organization across multiple business segments and verticals. This role represents a unique opportunity to work with world-class organizations, helping them transform their business through innovative technology solutions. As a Solution Engineer, you'll be at the intersection of technology and business strategy, working closely with customers to understand their needs and demonstrate how Salesforce's suite of products can address their challenges.

The position involves collaborating with various teams including Products and Professional Services to develop thoughtful solutions that enhance customer relationships. You'll be responsible for conducting technical sales activities, from gathering business requirements to configuring and demonstrating solutions that deliver tangible business value. The role requires expertise in design, business consulting, and technology, making it ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Solution Engineers at Salesforce work across different specialized teams, either focusing on specific products or industry verticals, or as part of Core Teams selling the entire Salesforce Platform. The role offers exposure to various cloud solutions including Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Heroku, and Quip. You'll be expected to deliver transformational pitches through live product demonstrations, develop strategic solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

Responsibilities For Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) - All Levels

  • Partner with clients and collaborate with internal team members and C-level contacts
  • Work on business development, operations and IT strategies
  • Deliver executive level product demonstrations
  • Discover customer's business needs and position best Salesforce solutions
  • Build and present customized solutions and demonstrations
  • Develop and deliver customer experience stories aided by Salesforce technologies
  • Participate in product, sales, and procedural training and certifications
  • Convey understanding of customer's architecture related to Salesforce solutions
  • Orchestrate and lead cross-functional solutions guides

Requirements For Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) - All Levels

  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology
  • Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
