Salesforce's Employee Success (ES) Product Management team is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join their innovative AI-driven data initiatives. This exciting opportunity allows interns to work on transforming and expanding data capabilities across all ES functions, focusing on building a strong data and AI foundation. The role offers hands-on experience in building and maintaining data-driven products in a fast-paced environment.
The internship program runs in Summer 2025 with three different group start dates: May 19th - August 8th, June 2nd - August 22nd, or June 16th - September 5th. As part of the ES Product Management team, you'll be involved in critical data engineering projects, working with large datasets, building data pipelines, and potentially contributing to AI-related initiatives.
The ideal candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, graduating in Spring 2026. Strong fundamentals in Python and SQL are essential, along with knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL principles. Responsibilities For Summer 2025 Intern - Data Engineer
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes
- Work with large datasets to build and optimize data models and data warehouses
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from various sources
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Document data engineering processes and procedures
- Potentially assist in the exploration and implementation of AI related data projects
Requirements For Summer 2025 Intern - Data Engineer
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Spring 2026 Grad)
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Proficiency using GIT for code standardization and versioning
- Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts
- Familiarity with ETL principles
- Basic knowledge of data integration and data modeling
