Description For Systems Engineering Engineer

Salesforce Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineering Engineer in Burlington, MA. This role is responsible for overseeing, enhancing, and managing Salesforce's production environments, ensuring 24/7 system availability. The engineer will lead projects to standardize and automate processes for greater efficiency, solve difficult challenges, and provide high-level support. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing changes to improve stability, performance, and security of a large-scale Linux computing platform, participating in project planning and delivery, maintaining system availability, driving efficiency through standardization and automation, and providing technical leadership. Strong technical and communication skills are essential. The role involves working with technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Docker, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, AWS, Git, Python, and more. Telecommuting is an option, with some travel to Salesforce offices potentially required. The position requires a strong commitment to Salesforce's #1 value of 'Trust', ensuring security, availability, performance, and scale of services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2 years of experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5 years of progressively responsible experience
