Description For Commercial Account Executive

Samsara, the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join their team in Canada. This high-energy role involves bringing the Internet of Things to small to medium-sized customers, with typical sales ranging from $5k to $20k. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role, a proven track record of quota achievement, and experience in fast-paced, transactional sales.

As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting to close, targeting accounts with 11-30 vehicles. You'll need to be comfortable with high-volume cold calling and demonstrate a growth mindset. The role requires curiosity about how businesses work, as you'll be learning about various industries to make a larger impact.

Samsara offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $138,700 - $152,570 CAD, plus bonus/variable pay and restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. Responsibilities For Commercial Account Executive

  • Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close
  • Generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, as well as receive inbound leads from our account development team
  • Target accounts with 11-30 vehicles
  • Handle and own transactional sales process with high volume demands
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles as we scale globally and across new offices

Requirements For Commercial Account Executive

  • 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role
  • Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
  • Experience selling in the commercial space - small to medium deals sizes
  • Experience with high-volume cold calling
  • Experience in fast-paced, transactional sales
  • Must demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to be collaborative with your teammates and in your selling process
  • SFDC familiarity
