We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Prototyping team. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in driving various workstreams across the organization. This role requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and exceptional leadership skills to ensure successful execution of projects aligned with the company's objectives.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Samsara, you will have the opportunity to impact industries that run our world, build for scale with over 2.3 million IoT devices deployed globally, and work on a range of new and mature technologies. In this role, you will lead and manage multiple workstreams, provide technical guidance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the design of scalable systems. You'll also play a key role in identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, 4+ years of experience in software engineering, and 1+ years of experience as a Research Assistant. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
