Description For SoC Performance Modeling and Infrastructure Engineer

The lab plays a crucial role in defining high-performance SoC architecture development for various Galaxy device lineups, working in collaboration with Samsung's strategic SoC partners, Samsung MX headquarter team, and key R&D teams globally.

As a SoC Performance Modeling and Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing analysis and modeling of new SoC architectures and features for next-generation mobile products. This role requires extensive experience in SoC modeling and infrastructure development, with a focus on creating and maintaining sophisticated modeling environments.

Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive SoC model environments, creating efficient debugging scripts, and establishing infrastructure for system-level correlation with silicon and measured data. This position offers an opportunity to work on technology that directly impacts millions of users worldwide through Galaxy flagship products.

The ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of SoC experience, strong architectural analysis capabilities, and expertise in performance modeling ranging from analytical models to complex cycle-accurate simulations.   • Develop SoC model environment including model integration, use case simulation, and debug use cases
  • Develop scripts for debugging and visualization of metrics collected from SoC model environment
  • Create infrastructure to correlate with silicon and system measured data at system level

Requirements For SoC Performance Modeling and Infrastructure Engineer

Python
  • BSc, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 12+ years of experience in SoC
  • Proficiency in architecture analysis and performance modeling
  • Experience with industry standard performance and power modelling tools
  • Strong modelling and simulator development skills
  • Ability to code in C, C++, Python and similar programming languages
