Samsung SDS America's Cloud Native Computing Team (CNCT) is seeking a Cloud Native Software Engineer to join their innovative team in Seattle. As a member of CNCT, you'll be at the forefront of cloud native development, working with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Prometheus, and various cloud platforms. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
The position involves developing and maintaining cloud native solutions, focusing on highly automated systems for rapid application development and deployment. You'll be working with a team that's been an early member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and actively contributes to Kubernetes development.
The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $160,000 to $240,000, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k matching, and parental leave. Responsibilities For Cloud Native Software Engineer
- Develop innovative modeling software to enhance systems like Prometheus, Elastic search, OpenSearch, Ceph, Containers, and Kubernetes
- Design and maintain software for the delivery, operation, and lifecycle management of Cloud Platform
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and engineers to troubleshoot issues and identify new feature requirements
- Work closely with the team to ensure successful technical delivery and foster a high-performance culture
Requirements For Cloud Native Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 6+ years of experience as software engineer in enterprise environment
- Proven experience in developing, maintaining, integrating, and enhancing cloud-native services or distributed systems
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, C++, or Go
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Microservices and Cloud-native design patterns
- Extensive experience in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
- Proficiency in Linux-based systems
- Practical experience building systems on a public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Strong ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
