Description For Backend Engineer

Sauron is an innovative company at the intersection of robotics and home security, backed by $18M in seed funding from prominent investors including A* and Atomic. They're revolutionizing residential security by applying autonomous robot and self-driving car technology to protect homes and families.

As a Backend Engineer at Sauron, you'll be instrumental in creating a groundbreaking system that allows homeowners to interact with their properties and security systems through a 3D model-based app for iPad and iPhone. This role combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving, requiring someone who can build scalable, reliable systems while maintaining a strong focus on user experience.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment where pair programming and continuous deployment are valued. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including AWS services, Python, and various database systems, while having the opportunity to influence both product direction and technical architecture.

The company values iterative development, code quality, and taking ownership across the stack. You'll be joining a team of veteran entrepreneurs and roboticists from companies like Zipline, Tesla, and The Boring Company, working on technology that has the potential to transform home security.

This role offers competitive compensation including equity, and the opportunity to work on challenging problems at the intersection of security, robotics, and consumer technology. If you're passionate about building secure, scalable systems and want to be part of a team creating the future of home security, this role at Sauron could be your next great opportunity.
